PestoSpring 2025 Pesto is a revival of Poster French Old Style Expanded, a late-nineteenth century typeface inspired by popular French types from earlier in the century.
It’s characterized by a tall x-height, heavy, bracketed serifs, and a juxtaposition of round and sharp characteristics. Affectionately named after the Internet sensation, Pesto, the wide penguin.
